We have revamped our beginning class to better fit into todays quilting environment. Join Dar as she takes you through the process of piecing your first lap size quilt top! You'll learn all of the basics needed to begin your quilting journey. Machine quilting and binding will now be offered as separate classes. Your book, Beginner's Guide to Quiltmaking, is included in your class fee. A sewing machine, in good working order, that you are comfortable operating is required.

Is binding a necessary evil in your quilt making process? Are you a beginner hoping to learn how to bind? Perhaps you know, but want to hone your skills? Fear binding no longer as Marilyn will teach you tips and tricks to make binding an enjoyable part of your quilt making. You'll learn 3 great techniques including machine binding!! A $5 kit fee will be charged upon registration.

If you struggle with choosing fabrics for your projects or find something?s just ?not right? with the ones you do choose, this workshop is for you! We?ll explore traditional and non-traditional color theory as we work through the fun swatch challenges in Rachel Hauser?s book. We?ll also discuss personal style and fabric stash building. You?ll leave this workshop inspired and ready to tackle your next project!

Hollywood Boulevard is a wonderful pattern from Studio 180 designs using the Wedge Star Tool. Laura demonstrated the block on Facebook and we sold out of the tool that day! Once you've learned how to make the block to create this beautiful quilt, you'll be excited to learn that there are even more options to use this versatile tool to make many more different blocks!

Learn how fast and easy making the jelly roll rug is using the new Jelly Roll Jig! You'll learn the technique and go on to make more! They even have patterns for pillows and place mats where you can continue to perfect your newly learned skill!

Join Lisa as she guides you on using your walking foot for quilting! You'll be using Jacquie Gering's fantastic book Walk as you learn how easy it is really is to quilt gorgeous patterns with just your walking foot. You'll be learning a variety of designs and working on Muslin squares. The squares you take home will make a great tool to reference for your future quilting projects. A sewing machine in good working order, that you are familiar with is required to take this class.

Join our in-house machine applique expert Marilyn M as she leads you on a journey into the wonderful world of machine applique.

Please bring your project(s), cutters, sewing machine, etc... You will not be sharing a table and the open sew is just for you. No guests are allowed unless they sign up for one of the four available tables. The shop is open during this time and our cutting station in front is not available. Lunch and beverages are not provided, the $10 fee reserves your table. While the sales staff on duty is happy to answer basic questions this is not a class and no detailed instruction will be provided.

Have you admired designs with perfect and complicated points or tiny pieces that fit perfectly into the block? Often times paper piecing is used to get those great shapes and blocks. Join Laura as she guides you using the Carol Doak method of paper piecing. Carol's book Show Me How to Paper Piece is included in your class cost.

Marilyn made this quilt last year and it is stunning! We had requests for class, so now is your change to get it made before Christmas! Marilyn will guide you on creating three blocks using the Whole Curve Ruler and Starry Night Pattern from the creative minds at Sew Kind of Wonderful. You'll spend the day learning how to make the Jesus, Mary and manger block which will send you on your way with the knowledge and skills needed to complete the rest of the blocks on your own.

Would you like to learn how to make one of the the top selling bag patterns for the last year? This bag is so popular it is all over Facebook and Instagram. Kathy will guide you on making this cute, practical bag which includes a zipper close and unique handles. Please note their will be precutting and fusing homework required prior to attending class.

Take your Tucker Trimmer back out and make this simple, yet stylish table or bed runner (you choose the size). As with all Studio 180 design tools and patterns, you'll be amazed at how easy and accurate this runner is to piece, yet how complicated it looks finished!
