If you are interested in our beginning class please call the shop and we will add your name to the waitlist for our next session which will start in early 2022! We have revamped our beginning class to better fit into todays quilting environment. Join Dar as she takes you through the process of piecing your first lap size quilt top! You'll learn all of the basics needed to begin your quilting journey. Machine quilting and binding will now be offered as separate classes. Your book, Beginner's Guide to Quiltmaking, is included in your class fee. A sewing machine, in good working order, that you are comfortable operating is required.

Have you wanted to learn how to sew? Take the jump into sewing by making this fun, easy and practical tote bag. Dar will guide you as you learn about reading a pattern, cutting, seam allowance and topstitching. You will need a sewing machine, in good working order and you must be familiar with the operation of your machine.

Is binding a necessary evil in your quilt making process? Are you a beginner hoping to learn how to bind? Perhaps you know, but want to hone your skills? Fear binding no longer as Marilyn will teach you tips and tricks to make binding an enjoyable part of your quilt making. You'll learn 3 great techniques including machine binding!! A $5 kit fee will be charged upon registration.

Laura Heine has mastered the collage technique. Her patterns are always best sellers, but many have no clue how to move forward. Marilyn has got the technique down and is ready to lead you in making your own version of anyone of Laura's vast pattern choices. We recommend starting with one of her tiny collage patterns, but it is not a requirement. It's a great way to learn the technique on a small scale and then you can tackle any of her other patterns with no fear!!

Join Laura as she teaches you the basics of English Paper Piecing. We will work on several shapes, learn about basting a couple different ways, which threads to use, different piecing techniques, and more!

And you thought making a four patch unit was so easy. Well, it is with the Studio 180 Design Four Patch Square Up tool. Here is your opportunity to create perfect alignment with each of the edges and seams of a four patch unit. You will create units slightly oversized and square them up to perfection.

Take the next step in your quilting and learn how versatile the half square triangle unit can be! Dar will teach you how to make a perfect half square triangle and then how using them can create a variety of fun, yet easy quilt blocks. This beautiful sampler quilt takes 8 fat quarters, some background and border fabric. You can get the kit just like our class sample or build your own!

Impress your friends with this modern design of Live Links created entirely of Flying Geese. Learn to Use the Wing Clipper I from Studio 180 design; and you will achieve these sharp, crisp points.

Join Lisa as she guides you on using your walking foot for quilting! You'll be using Jackie Gering's fantastic book Walk as you learn how easy it is really is to quilt gorgeous patterns with just your walking foot. You'll be learning a variety of designs and working on Muslin squares. The squares you take home will make a great tool to reference for your future quilting projects. A sewing machine in good working order, that you are familiar with is required to take this class.

Please bring your project(s), cutters, sewing machine, etc... You will not be sharing a table and the open sew is just for you. Lunch and beverages are not provided, the $5 fee reserves your table. If you are seeing stars in your future then you have just found your new best friend, the V Block. Making stars is not the only thing the V Block can do to improve your piecing techniques. Once you learn how to use the V Block, you will not go back to those plastic templates you have been tracing and slicing. Or connect a V Block with a half square triangle and watch the curves develop. The possibilities are only limited to your imagination. Push the use of you V Block a bit further by learning how to create Sidekicks and High/low units. You will amaze your quilting friends by thinking that you made a difficult unit, when in fact the use of the V Block made your life so easy.
